Hello everyone,
I have been thinking a lot about what the future holds for me. I have decided to make some changes. I have decided that nursing isn't quite what I thought it was going to be. At least for right now I would rather be working towards a different degree. I am going to transfer to Hutchinson Community College to gain an associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant. From there I will probably end up at Wichita State University to attain the Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy Assistant. That's how the program is set up at HCC. I have decided to change for many different reasons. First is what I have already stated. Nursing isn't turning out to what I thought it would mean to me. Secondly I feel that if I'm transfering schools will save Mark and I some money. As you all probably know Washburn is expensive. This way I can still go to school and save us some money at the same time. Lastly I can't hide the fact that I being apart from my family is hard. Being home is one of the reasons but it wasn't the only factor I thought about to make this decision. Thanks to my wonderful husband he made it perfectly clear that he would move where ever it was that I wanted to go to school. He has been so supportive in this decision. I can't thank him enough. I think it's what is going to be best for my family. I only hope that you all will support me in this decision.

ReplyDeleteI know you have been thinking alot about this and I think you will make the best decision for your future. I understand it is hard to be away from family and applaud Mark for his willingness to support your schooling no matter where it takes you. I will be available with Black Beauty in stow and go mode whenever you need me to help you move.
On another subject, I really love the changes you have made to this page. I especially like the picture of your family, good choice!
